The 10 projects selected work on developing joint responses in the proposed fields, all of which fall within the Euskampus Missions 2.0 framework, which aims to explore and exploit Artificial Intelligence as a key development factor to face major scientific, technological, economic and social challenges.

The cooperative research initiatives that will receive financial support from Euskampus Fundazioa will also participate in the Mentoring Euskampus support programme; a co-creation space where research teams will develop a solid knowledge base and skills to foster and extend their transfer and the impact on society of the findings of their research.

The selected projects in this call for proposals are extremely diverse: from the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques for the development of a smart crutch that enables a continuous and personalised diagnosis of patients with functional mobility problems, to the use of Artificial Intelligence to promote the Circular Economy through fiscal policies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The themed focus seeks to promote collaboration between research groups from diverse fields, including social and human sciences which, in conjunction with other research groups, develop innovative projects from the point of view of their research purpose, methodology and interdisciplinary and systematic approach.
